Capability definition · C34
Grounded Generation
The answer is faithful to the material the system itself retrieved, including declining when that material doesn't support one.
What this capability means
Grounded Generation means the answer stays faithful to the passages the system actually retrieved. If those passages do not support an answer, the correct behaviour is to decline rather than invent one.
Scenarios that test this capability
A scenario is a real-world situation used to test a capability.
Benchmarks that include this capability
A capability has global identity and may be used by more than one benchmark.

Which managed RAG service turns a folder of private documents into a query API that finds the right passage, answers only from what it retrieved, cites the source that actually supports the claim — and keeps up when the source changes?
