Grading

Determines how correctly a learner answered, including fixed-answer scoring, semantically equivalent wording, and partial understanding

What this capability means

Grading is the capability to judge how correctly a learner answered a question. It must work with fixed-answer scoring, answers that use different but equivalent wording, and responses that are only partly correct. A tool has this capability when it can distinguish correct, incorrect, and partially correct responses against the intended answer basis.

Boundary: This capability does not judge whether the quiz was created well, delivered well, or explained well to the learner; those are separate capabilities.

Scenarios that test this capability

A scenario is a real-world situation used to test a capability.

Benchmarks that include this capability

A capability has global identity and may be used by more than one benchmark.
