Data Ingestion

The knowledge in the files you hand over actually becomes reachable — and the service tells you when it didn't. Graded with the retrieval side held trivially easy (a query in the source's own wording over a small corpus), so a failure is attributable to ingestion rather than to search.

What this capability means

A tool has this capability when uploaded or connected content is processed so that its knowledge becomes reachable to retrieval, and the service tells you when that does not happen. It covers the ingestion stage making source material findable later, not later search or answer quality.

Boundary: This does not judge search quality, answer generation, or citations; it only covers whether content becomes reachable and whether ingestion failures are surfaced.

Scenarios that test this capability

A scenario is a real-world situation used to test a capability.

Benchmarks that include this capability

A capability has global identity and may be used by more than one benchmark.

Managed RAG

Which managed RAG service turns a folder of private documents into a query API that finds the right passage, answers only from what it retrieved, cites the source that actually supports the claim — and keeps up when the source changes?
